The important part about making an impression at a career planning center is to make an impression that will stick with the professionals there so that when it comes time to fill a job, they will remember your face and your name and recommend you for that job. That s what networking is all about. It s a great decision when you decide to go to a career planning center to jump start your career. 

You need one or two good cameras, tripod and a lighting system. Always make sure that you have plenty of film and batteries available. SLR and digital cameras take different photos, so make sure you find the best for your field. When submitting your work, hopefully to give a chance you have to have a portfolio on hand, just in case the editor of the fashion magazine wants to see samples of your work. 

The way most career assessment tests work is you will be presented with several scenarios such as write a detailed sales report , participate in a brainstorming session , and formulate a plan of action on your own . You will choose your most favorite of the three and your least favorite of the three leaving one of them blank. 

If you are choosing a career path, taking an aptitude test will provide you with options you may have never thought of before or it can confirm a career path that you ve always wanted to explore. They are available online for you to take often for free and can be very valuable tool in your career search. 

When beginning career planning, you need to set short-term as well as long-term goals. A short-term goal in career planning might be to get a job in the music industry. A long-term goals would be to own your own recording studio. Goal setting just like with many different things in life can help keep you focused and realize what you need to accomplish in order to achieve your goals. 

Do you like tinkering around under the hood of a car? Maybe you should be an auto mechanic. Perhaps writing is what you enjoy. If so, maybe a journalism career is on your horizon. Almost all of us had a dream when we were children about what we wanted to be when we grew up. Think back to that time when dreams were always attainable.
